mayhem

a few things:

• I did KINDA kicked the flu in the butt. 

i passed it to the kiddos.
and the hubs.
tomorrow it'll be 2 weeks of sick kids..
sicks kids.. no problem
we'll just bum around. take naps. sleep in the same bed.

• this past weekend i had an order for 250 cupcakes.

plus the cake top.
250 cupcakes? no biggie.
just have a plan & execute it cake factory style.

one man cake factory.

• a blizzard.

tons of snow.
snow i can't walk in.
snowed in. hot chocolate. movies. thank God for Hulu
snow that the dog gets lost in.
snow that closes everything down (including the pediatrician's office).

all this at the same time?!
mayhem.

but it got done. thanks for the help of my wonderful hands-on hubby.

the wedding was the cutest thing ever! loved it!
cake turned out great & looked perfect with all the decorations.

oh yeah! My very own pioneer woman moment. someone brought a newborn calf into my basement to "thaw out." saved it's life. almost gave me a heart attack when it mooed and I'd forgotten it was in there.

a blizzard?!!

Friends, how was your weekend? I spent the weekend trying to kick this flu in the butt. Which means I spent most of the weekend in bed. However, I feel only a slight improvement. we're supposed to have a blizzard tonight so I hope to feel more refreshed tomorrow morning. The only blizzards I've ever experienced were from Dairy Queen, (hmmm.... that sounds good). Anyway, maybe it'll snow enough to go sledding or get some more work done on my 2011 spring/summer collection. Do me a favor though, will you? Please don't mention the state of my house. the only thing about being sick is that if I'm up to it I can crochet, design, scheme & dream while i lounge. 

speaking of my spring/summer collection here's something I came up with! 

isn't this a fabulous tote??! perfect for the library, groceries, kid's stuff, day at the pool, ANYTHING!

I kinda love this one so I'll be keeping it! :)

when did this happen?!

Tuesday, we got a pet rabbit. Someone found it and thought Douglas would like it. He does. He says, "I love my rabbit." name: "A Bunny Rabbit"

Thursday Douglas & I were taking the poop out of the rabbit's box (haven't even gotten him a cage yet) and went to dump it outside

i live out in the country if you didn't know...  I lived in California for 10 years, then in North West Arkansas. NEVER in the country. I get itchy just stepping outside. bugs gross me out and animals scare me. we don't live in the country country though, like where you could get lost and don't know who's field you're in. i'm still close enough to town that it's not too bad. but we don't get our trash picked up out here so I dump our "slop" over the fence. that's were we were taking the rabbit poop. the next few things happened without my complete comprehension. we saw this.

then i saw this

now we have this
